It’s a Big Week for Flowers in St. Louis
There’s something about this time of year in St. Louis. The calendar starts filling up quickly, celebrations seem to happen every weekend, and suddenly everyone needs flowers.
This week is especially busy for us at Rudy’s Flower Truck. We’re making flowers for bridal showers, baby showers, celebrations of life, and last-minute weddings. All very different occasions, but all moments where flowers have a way of making things feel a little more special.

Meet The Charlevoix Arrangement…A Little Piece of Michigan Brought to St. Louis
I planned our Michigan trip using TikTok. It went against every fiber of my millennial being.
However, it was super helpful. One of the towns that we stopped in was Charlevoix. It’s a cute lake town at the top of Michigan’s mitten.
By accident we stumbled across this beautiful flower shop tucked away in a 4 Corner Alley. It was the best surprise. My youngest spotted first. And my oldest captured it on Camera. The shop is eye catching. The front has a vibrant faux floral install that makes you have to walk in and check it out.
Their display was almost too pretty to touch but a flower I had never seen before was screaming at me. It was 2 feet tall, lush purple delphinium. I still can’t get over it.
When we returned I knew I wanted to bring this little arrangement to our customers. Mostly for the purple delphinium but also the vase. While I wasn’t able to find this that beautiful delphinium, i’m not giving up hope.
You all have to see it. It’s magical. As soon as I can find it, we will be bringing it to the flower trucks. Until then here is almost exact replica, down to the vase of what I got. I’m so excited to share this with you.
Introducing The Summer Flower Field Arrangement… Nature's Late Summer Palette
I went to the flower farm on Monday night looking to recreate the magic of our fairy garden arrangement. None of the blooms for that were available. Nothing similar even. I was thinking shoot, what are we gonna create this week? We need a new arrangement that’s unique but also helps us use flowers that the farm has in abundance.
I looked into the field and saw it overflowing with bright, vibrant colors. I lean more neutral to be honest, or maybe pastels is a better way of describing my style. After 8 years of doing this I know though I differ from our customers. You tend to grab those bold summer flowers off the trucks and online! Taking a second look at the field I thought to myself “you know what let's lean into this season. Let's recreate an arrangement just like this field”.
So here is our summer flower field arrangement. You'll find multiple colors that go against my natural instincts when designing but this is what nature wants. :)
St. Louis Obsessed? The Meet Me In St. Louis Bouquet Is For You!
Some collaborations just make sense. When The Muny reached out about creating a bouquet inspired by Meet Me in St. Louis, we were all in. We designed it to capture the romance, nostalgia, and beauty of the production while celebrating everything we love about St. Louis. The “Meet Me in St. Louis” bouquet is available through August 6th-August 13th.
This romantic bouquet is filled with soft peach, blush, rich red, and creamy white blooms. It’s a little nostalgic, a little romantic, and very St. Louis.
